Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome back to the 2017-2018 school year!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of you, especially the Class of 2021, to Colony High School! As the new principal of Colony High School, I am excited to have started the 2017- 2018 school year.  It is our commitment to continue raising the standards for our learning community and ensuring possibilities of success for all of our students!

It has been a great start to our school year, and I am looking forward to seeing our Titans shine in the classroom, on the field, in activities and in the arts. We have made the commitment to making a difference every day, to help every student here to go beyond the expected.  We are challenging students to always do their best and providing opportunities for students to meet these expectations.

I am thankful for all the teachers, coaches and staff who pour so much into our students.  I am also honored to be part of a community that supports the collective work of the learning community. Tuesday, August 29th,  is our Back to School Night, and I am looking forward to seeing you there as we continue to celebrate the start of a brand new school year.  Please join us early for Taste of Colony, starting at 4:00 with food trucks in our quad.

Colony News

Greetings Titan Students and Parents,

Colony High School wants all of our students to be college and career ready upon graduation. An important component of this goal is timely attendance: being on-time to every class every day.

To impress the importance of timely attendance to students and to change the behavior of those who accumulate tardies, Colony High School will begin a Before School Detention Program starting on Thursday, August 24th and continuing every Thursday through the 2017-2018 school-year.  Please see the table below for the Before School Detention schedule.

Once a student has three or more tardies in a single period, teachers may assign a 30 minute detention.  If a student does not attend detention, a new detention will be scheduled for the following Thursday.

Students who do not attend an assigned detention may also be assigned a Saturday School and/or lose the privilege to attend extra-curricular activities.

Our hope is that students value the importance of instructional time and will make every effort to arrive at all of their classes in a timely manner.

Dear Parents,

Please take a moment to complete our Freshman Parent Survey which is located on the top of our School Loop web page.  This survey is in both English and Spanish and will take you just a few minutes to complete. The information that we gain from your feedback is very valuable to us, so we would greatly appreciate your input.  Thank you very much for your assistance!
