I want to take this opportunity to welcome all returning students and the Class of 2018 to the 2014-2015 school year which begins on Wednesday, August 6th at 7:25 AM. I would ask that students arrive early to avoid traffic congestion.
Because of an increase in enrollment, student schedules may change. Students must check the locator lists posted in the center quad on the cafeteria doors. These lists will direct students to their correct 1st period class where they will receive an updated schedule from their teacher.
As we begin this new school year, I strongly encourage all parents and students to make attendance to school a priority. Working together, we will ensure success for all our students. I look forward to another exciting year of academic excellence.
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
Back to School Night is on Tuesday, August 19th beginning at 5:30 pm in the Colony High School Theater. It is a time of celebrating school and connecting with other parents, families, teachers and school staff. Please join us for a wonderful time!
Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome back to the 2014-2015 school year! I trust you had a restful and rejuvenating summer.
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of you, especially the Class of 2018 to Colony High School! We are excited for the upcoming 2014-2015 school year! The promise of continuing to raise the standards of our learning community is exhilarating! The possibilities of success for all of our students are endless.
Our first day of school is Wednesday, August 6th. Please ensure that your student is on campus by 7:25 am. Please know that there will be traffic congestion on Riverside Drive and Mill Creek, therefore, plan accordingly.
We start this year with great anticipation and excitement! Our Titans will shine in the classroom, on the field and in the Arts. As our staff and faculty are busily getting ready for the school year, I hope you are ready to dive into school. With that in mind, please know that our work here together is important, that you have the capacity to go beyond the expected, and that we will never give up on each other!
I am thankful for all the teachers, coaches and staff who pour so much into our students. I am also honored to be part of a community that supports the collective work of the learning community. I look forward to seeing all of you on Wednesday, August 6th as we celebrate a brand new school year.

Colony is Going Green!
Dear Parents and Students,
As you know, we are continuing to do our part in being efficient with energy, saving costs and protecting the environment, by installing solar panels on our campus as part of a district wide initiative.
Construction of the steel structures, which the solar panels will be installed on, begins this week July 14th. The structures will be located in the north and east parking lots. The completed structures with the installed solar panels will serve as covered parking structures for vehicles. The estimated time of completion for the structures without installing the solar panels is 6 weeks.
This means there will be a lot of construction going on in the parking lots in the next couple of weeks as we prepare to open school. I ask for your flexibility and patience as Colony goes green!
Please call me if you have any questions, comments or concerns.
