Academic Recognition

Colony High School is committed to recognizing academic achievement. Through recognition, a sense of success is fostered and maintained.

To honor achievement, COHS has recognition ceremonies that are held during the school day as well as in the evening. A student may be recognized in one of several ways:

Course Designation - Course titles followed by "P" are college prep, and "H" are Honors. GPAs for Advanced Placement and honors classes are figured on a five-point scale.

Academic Letter - A letter is earned when a student achieves a GPA of 3.5 or higher for two consecutive semesters. Awards for the letter are earned after each succeeding semester when the student again achieves a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
