Dear Parents,

Welcome Back! Colony High School’s second semester is off to a fast start! The transition has been smooth and students are geared up to finish the year strong! It is hard to believe but graduation is five months away! I look forward to having our graduation at the Titan Stadium May 23rd 2017 at 6:30 p.m.

I am grateful for the faculty and staff here at Colony. Every teacher and staff member continues to work diligently to ensure that all students are proficient in their subject area.

Our work of ensuring quality academic programs continues undeterred.

As you may already know, the new California State Standards continues to be implemented on our campus. These new standards emphasize higher order thinking skills and college readiness and will be assessed this year only with the junior class.  We are excited because these assessments offer our students the opportunity to really showcase their learnings.

Our winter sports and activities are also underway and I hope you have a chance to show your support at our games.

In order for our students to be successful, it is important that all students are in school daily. Students who are not in attendance miss out on valuable instruction. It is imperative that our staff have the opportunity to work with your students. Please do not hesitate to give us a call. It is our pleasure to be of assistance to you.

As always, we know that it is our partnership with our parents and community that ensures our students success. We appreciate your support and patience.

Please feel free to contact me any time.

Colony News

On February 22, all 10th graders will be taking the PSAT 10 exam in our gym.  The PSAT  is a practice test that helps students prepare for the SAT exam, gives you feedback on reading, writing and language, and math skills, enter scholarship competitions and can indicate readiness for AP courses.

Students, you will report to the gym with the 1st period bell.  Please bring two #2 pencils, an "acceptable" calculator (see your guide), your student ID, and your email address (optional).

There is usually a cost for this exam; however, this year we are able to administer this exam for FREE to all 10th graders! The guide book you have received in your English class can help you prepare, and, as always, always do your best, Colony!
