It is hard to believe but graduation is about 11 weeks away! I look forward to having our graduation at the Titan stadium May 23rd 2017 at 6:30pm.
In the meantime, our collective work continues unabated. As Stephen Covey once said “Begin with the end in Mind”. Well, we know that every single student will finish strong therefore it is imperative that together, we ensure that our students work hard, turn in all assignments and stay true to our vision: All students will graduate ready for College and Career.
As you may already know, our juniors will take the new California State Standards Assessments known as the CAASP. This new test emphasizes higher order thinking skills and college readiness. This will take place April 10th through the 14th. We are excited because these assessments offer our students the opportunity to really showcase their learnings. Our Advanced Placement (AP) Test begins May 1st and continues through mid-May.
Our spring sports are underway. Swim, Baseball, Softball, Track and Field and Golf are all competing and we expect great things from all our teams. Our Titan Color Guard is also competing this season. Please come out and show your support for our Titans.
As always, we know that it is our partnership with our parents and community that ensures our students success. We appreciate your support and patience.
Please feel free to contact me any time.

Starting Monday, April 3rd, all juniors will begin taking the math and English CAASPP tests. These computer-based tests are important for students in that this test can establish they are college "ready," thus eliminating the need for additional coursework.
Most students will be taking the math test in their math class, concluding the test on April 10. Students whose math class is not giving the test should speak with their math teacher or will be notified which period they will be testing and their specific testing location.
On the following Monday, April 10, all juniors will then take the English Language Arts test during their English period. That exam will be completed by April 18.
Students are to bring their Id’s and allowed to bring their own headphones since a listening component is part of the test. Students are encouraged to be present, well rested, and to give their best effort on all parts of the test.
Do your best, Colony! Everything we do, we do with pride!
Dear 10th graders,
As you may know, Colony has been chosen to pilot the new California Science test for 10th graders. This test will be computer based and will be used to help further develop the science tests that all students will be taking in the future. We will administer the test on Thursday, March 30th. Most students will be taking this test during their science class, although some students will be asked to move to rooms where the test is being administered. The test itself will take only one period, and the school day will remain a normal day in every other respect. As with all tests, normal testing procedures will be followed (no cell phones or other electronic devices permitted), and we ask students to always come prepared and do your best!
