    Principal's Message

    Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome back to the 2018-2019 school year!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of you, especially the Class of 2022, to Colony High School! As the new principal of Colony High School, I am excited to have started the 2018- 2019 school year.  It is our commitment to continue raising the standards for our learning community and ensuring possibilities of success for all of our students!

It has been a great start to our school year, and I am looking forward to seeing our Titans shine in the classroom, on the field, in activities and in the arts. We have made the commitment to making a difference every day, to help every student here to go beyond the expected.  We are challenging students to always do their best and providing opportunities for students to meet these expectations.

This year we will go through the accreditation process through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), our accrediting association. Schools are accredited to ensure that the diplomas they issue are valid.  We participate in a year-long self-study to evaluate the integrity and effectiveness of the programs at CoHS.  We then develop the Action Plan for the next six years to bring students the best possible education we can. Parent and community involvement is essential to this process.  Please continue to check our web page for updated information and ways to participate and assist in this important study.

I am thankful for all the teachers, coaches and staff who pour so much into our students.  I am also honored to be part of a community that supports the collective work of the learning community.

All Colony High School students will graduate college and career ready.

    Mission Statement

It is our mission, along with the entire CJUHSD, to prepare our students to live healthy and engaged lives as productive members of their community.  Our College Readiness curriculum  blends real world applications with the University of California’s A-G requirements.  All students will be given access to rigorous curriculum, with support provided when necessary to achieve this goal.  Our Career Readiness, emphasized by the acronym TCELL, infuses technology skills, career exploration, employability skills, life skills, and encourages life-long learners.  Colony believes that this Career and College Readiness will allow our students to be successful and productive members of any community.
